My New Happy: Summer Fedora

Summer Fedora

Here we go again.  I love Alison's Style Me Pretty Challenges for many reasons, but why do they have to be SO challenging :)?   In the spring it was leopard print and white jeans.

Now it's a fedora.

Honestly, I'm not much of a hat person.  Any kind of hat.  Not that I don't like them - I think they look pretty adorable on everyone else.  I've always been somewhat hair challenged, so I have a hard enough time making my hair look okay without adding a hat on top of it.

But Alison told me to get a fedora, and she's been right about everything else, so I did.  It only took me about twenty minutes to make it look right for this picture...I'm hopeless.

I wore it all day, and it was surprisingly comfortable.  My husband really liked it, which is always a plus!

Fedora's are EVERYWHERE this summer.  I love the blue accents on this one from Target.

I may have to go get this pink striped ribbon one from Kohl's, now that I'm an expert and all!

I'm linking up today with these lovely ladies.  Go check out what they're wearing!

  5. The only hat I have ever liked to wear was the cowboy hat I used to ride in - and that gave way to an unattractive helmet when I realized my head needed to be protected! When ski helmets became a popular (also unattractive) I gladly gave up the wool hats that never fit me right. I am NOT a hat person - so pretty sure I couldn't pull off wearing a fedora. I think you styled your hair just right for under the hat!

  9. Well I am a huge lover of hats and this fedora is and the whole outfit is super cute. I think you need more "Hat-itude" and that comes from wearing them more often and pulling them down a bit further on the forehead.

I wear a fedora every day when I walk my pug and couldn't go without. In fact I kinda wear something like your outfit here.

I could be called the crazy hat lady...I own quite a few. And when I can't find one that is quite right, I simply go and borrow one from my husband. Oh yeah...he has quite a collection too.

    bisous

  14. You have been such a trooper during the challenge by always stepping up to it and the fedora is no exception. I'm not sure what you mean about your hair being challenging but when I saw this photo I immediately thought you have great hair. It looks thick and full - very pretty. Great outfit & I'm glad you wore the fedora {& that your hubby liked it too} and you should definitely wear it again! Have a lovely day, friend!

I've been looking for one that fits, but since I cut my hair, they tend to rest on the tops of my ears. Urk.
