Sharing Some Gratitude Part Three

It's time again to share some gratitude.  For three months I've kept my gratitude journal - which is definitely a record for me.  July has been very busy with lots of work, but there's always time for a little gratitude!

--I'm grateful for my cousins.  There are eleven of us, and I'm the oldest.  Even though we're scattered around the country, we've remained close.  Every few weeks we have a group "texting" party - during the last one, 250 messages were sent back and forth!  It's like the old party line on steroids.  This is my youngest cousin Debbie, her son Evan, and my niece Ashley.

--I'm grateful for zucchini.  Our garden is overflowing, and my hubby has resorted to the "drop and dash" to get rid of some, although I'm sure our neighbors are on to him.  Fried zucchini is one of my favorite foods, and I found this recipe for shredded zucchini and black bean salad that looks delicious.

--I'm grateful that it's time for vacation next week.  It's a secret location, to be revealed on Monday.  Special bonus gratitude - my mom and Grandpa Ed will be there too!

--I'm grateful for sunsets like this one off my back deck.  Gorgeous.

--I'm grateful for all of you.  I've said it every month, but I continue to be amazed by the wonderful people out there in the blogging world.  You have made my life so much better.

I hope you find what you are grateful for.  Have a wonderful weekend!

  4. How sweet. Zucchini time of year, keep the car windows closed! I thought I bought one plant, a black beauty but got a Zebra Variety instead. Pretty and good but who got the black beauty??

  6. I love this series of yours! And I wish I was on the drop and dash list! My zucchini plants are just now beginning to blossom, and they suffered a little when our automatic sprinklers got turned off so the grass could be mowed ... and "we" forgot to turn them back on! Hopefully later this summer I will be doing my own drop and dash!
Your view is beautiful - and I am grateful that you shared the photo!

  7. I love this! It's been a stressful month for me so I like the idea of remembering what I have to be grateful for. It's always more than I think. :)

I love fried zucchini, also. I would love to start a garden one day. In time. In time.

    1. Our garden is kind of small this year, but there's lots of zucchini. Keeping the gratitude journal has really helped with my anxiety.
