My New Happy: Spring Style Me Again

Spring Style Me Again

One year ago I signed up for my first Style Me Challenge with Alison at Get Your Pretty On. I wanted to step up my clothing game and try something new, and I was not disappointed. White jeans, leopard print, maxi skirts - all things I would never have tried on my own.

Even better than the clothes is the group of ladies that I've gotten to know through the challenges.  What a group of supportive, inspiring women!  We've bonded over our love of fashion and branched out into other topics in our Friday Style Me Bloggers linkups.  I know that I've found some lifelong friends in this group and I couldn't be happier.

So here we are a year later, and it's time for the Spring Style Me Challenge again.  I really debated whether or not to sign up for this one since spring weather in Seattle is at least another month away.  But in the end, I didn't want to miss out on the fun, and I decided I could modify the outfits to suit a cooler climate.

The outfit on day one called for camo pants with a bright coat and flats.  Which I do not have yet - fail!  I decided to flip things around and wear my bright color on the bottom with leopard print.

Day two called for a striped dress and wedges.  Except it was pouring down rain and windy - double fail!  So I copied a few of my style me friends and added leggings, a denim jacket and a scarf.  At least my colors are spring like!

Be sure to check out the other ladies to see what they're wearing, and come back on Friday when the Style Me Bloggers will be sharing our top 3 spring looks.  Plus, we'll have a giveaway!

  7. Really like your looks. I commented on Deena's blog that I think we veteran challengers have truly embraced the GYPO Style Me Challenges when we can take Alison's great ingredients and adapt them to make outfits that work for us. My sister added leggings to her striped dress today and you both really rocked that look! What brand of leggings are those? Such a great fit! You are so clever to flip the first look around to add your color to the pants instead of the jacket. I am still working on my confidence to change the looks around. Hope you rub off on me.
