Motivational Monday XXIV

I've always thought that the way to dispel my anxiety was to remove all the difficulties from my life. As I get older (and wiser?) I realize that's never going to happen.  This ride is full of ups and downs, good days and bad, darkness and light.  Peace needs to be part of the journey, not the destination.

Any ideas how to work on that?  I'd love suggestions.

Have a wonderful week!!

  1. Lovely quote to start the week. That's something I feel like I'm constantly working on to: finding peace.

  3. This quote made me realize that finding peace and dealing with stress are much the same. Our lives are never stress free - it is how we deal with stress that matters. Have a great week Lana!

  5. I would love to figure that out. I think I always told Cassidy that my anxiety was situational, and it is/was to a degree but he likes to remind me that life IS situational. And that there are quiet times and loud times and dark times and light times.
Learning to ride the waves of all sizes is my challenge.

    1. That's the trick isn't it - to figure out how to ride the waves and stay peaceful.

  6. My only tip is to just be somewhere quiet for 5 or 10 minutes, and focus on your breathing (sort of meditation lite!) It brings you right back to being aware that you are alive, and that this 5 minutes is all that matters right now. That enables me to face the dramas and stress a little easier, and I know I have my little 5 minutes time out sessions to return to later if it all goes horribly wrong!
I have an insane September ahead of me, so I'm trying to take my own advice right now as well.
    xx
