Motivational Monday XXXV

Happy Monday!  Even though our Seahawks lost, we had a great weekend.

Today I'm over at The Blended Blog, sharing my new morning routine.  I'm not a morning person, but I've been implementing some tricks to get myself out of bed earlier.  If you have other suggestions, I'd love to hear them.

I'm also linking up with Shaunacey for her Monday Moments of Gratitude.

This week I'm grateful for:

  • My mom's arm has healed enough for her to drive on her own and lift up to 5 pounds.  This is progress - before she could only pick up a pop can! She was able to return to Arizona for a bit, to take care of appointments and get her house on the market.  After six months, I'm grateful that she has some independence again.
  • Getting a haircut - finally.  Sometimes it's the little things that bring great joy.  I don't know why I wait until it's a shaggy mess before I schedule an appointment.

My husband and I are off on a little work adventure this week.  Check out my Instagram to see what we're up to!

  3. It is very difficult to get out of bed early this time of year when it is still pitch dark! Any time before 7 and I am proud of myself. Come summer and I can be wide awake at 5. My theory is to go with what my body is telling me when ever possible for getting up.

  9. That's so funny I was just complaining about needing my hair cut. Split ends and gray oh the gray. I feel like I've aged 20 years these last few weeks. It's time to take it back lol.

  11. Happy that your mom is on the mend.
I never get haircuts until I can't stand it one moment more. Then I demand that the hairdresser just 'shave it all off'. Fortunately, she never listens to me . . .

  12. Adventures. Yay! And awesome about your mom.
My hair is way overdue. And my haircutter is down south because her mom is sick. But I can't cheat on her so I'm just waiting with my heavy mess of hair!

  13. So glad your mum is on the mend - six months is a LONG time to be a caregiver (my four weeks was long enough for me!) Enjoy your break x
