No Repeat January Week Two

Week two of No Repeat January is done! And I actually did it.  A different outfit every day, with photographic evidence.  If you have no idea what I'm talking about, go here to see what I'm up to.

Basically, I have way too many clothes, so I'm working my way through my closet, wearing everything I own.  I won't be purchasing anything new until the process is done.

Since the ultimate goal is to get rid of things that are outdated or just don't work for me, each week I'll mention a few pieces that I think should go. Suggestions or comments are welcome.  Please help me!

What about the lace sweatshirt in outfit 4?  It's a little big, and I have a LOT of gray in my closet.  I'm not sure it's doing me any favors.  I was on the fence about outfit 3, until my husband came home and mentioned how pretty I looked.  Even after 25 years I never know what he's going to like, so I guess the leopard cardigan is staying.

This was my favorite look of the week.

I got this sweater poncho at Costco, of all places, and I may or may not have it in another color as well.  It's the perfect weight, hangs just right, and it was only $15.

Every once in a while Costco has a great find in their clothing area.  Which I won't be looking at for the next few months.  Straight to the dog food and protein bars for me!

  1. The poncho is also my favorite and I also love the leopard sweater! I think the grey lace sweatshirt is cute and would probably keep it!

  4. What a fun idea, Lana! I can't relate to having too many clothes 'cause I don't like to clothes shop and so I wear what I do have until it's either too stretched out, threadbare, or outgrown. lol

If hubby likes 3, well then I'd say it's a keeper. I do think the lace sweatshirt is kind of cute... Number 5? It looks a bit busy to me so I might be inclined to let that one go!

Have fun making your way through your closet! It must be like weeks of Christmas! <)

  12. Okay...going to try this again ; ) My comment was just eaten.

I can see why you like that outfit with the burgundy sweater. You look great!

I never thought I'd love an oversized sweater as much as I do. They are comfy and warm, and great with boots and jeans as you've pointed out here.

    1. I agree, oversized sweaters didn't used to be my thing, but I'm loving them this year.

  13. Gooood-ness you look great! Actually, the gray lace was the first top I noticed. I thought at first it was camo. Also really like #3, high five to your hubby. Have you purged and counted the items in your closet like Carrie and the gals are doing? I am thinking this long MLK weekend will be my time to spend a few hours in my closet.

    1. I did a "sort of" purge before I started my "no repeat" challenge. Now I'm trying to get rid of things as I wear them if they're not just right. Honestly, I'm afraid to do the count :)!

  15. I love the burgundy poncho. .. The only item that jumps out as not my favorite is the sweater in 5... the print isn'the my type of print but I think you should keep what you want :-) xox

  16. You MUST keep the leopard print cardigan! I also really like your favourite look; the long sleeves under the shorter sleeves is really cool. AND I like the lace print sweatshirt. I'm not much help, am I? :-) (The only thing I don't love is outfit two, but I imagine you're going to work out or something). I can't wait to see your future outfits! xx

  23. You have done such a great job in this challenge and have inspired me to do the same which I will start soon. I have way too many clothes and starting in March I am going on a shopping freeze. The outfit which is your favorite and the one with the leopard cardigan are my favorite Lana. I also own a leopard cardi which I love.
