Motivational Monday XL

I admit that I'm not a very patient person. Waiting drives me crazy, and waiting for someone else is even worse.  There are situations in my life right now that are seriously testing me.

Recently, I read that patience is a learned skill instead of an inherited trait. The key is to become "comfortable with the uncomfortable", and realize that impatience rarely causes things to move faster.

How do you practice patience?  I'll be over here, taking lots of deep breaths and visualizing my happy place.  Other suggestions are welcome!

I'm linking up today with Shaunacey for Monday Moments of Gratitude.  Head over and add your grateful moments.

This week I'm grateful for:
  • A husband that loves to cook.  If it was up to me, the same five dinners would be on rotation, and there would be no variety in our culinary life. Instead, I get meals like this.

  • The experience of watching my son swim at the State championships on Friday.  I may have shed a few tears when he jumped into the pool and fulfilled a long time goal.  He's spent four years training with a great group of young men, and I'm proud of every one of them.

I can cook... I just don't enjoy it. I would prefer other people cooked xox

  4. My husband loves to cook too! It's fantastic.
As for patience, I don't have very much. I thought motherhood would help me with that, but it hasn't much yet.

  6. I wish my husband would cook lol! He does everything else, but not the cooking. Unless we are camping or grilling out. Congratulations to T! I know it was hard being the last one, but you will have lots of new things coming down the pike that are exciting too!

  7. There's nothing like that feeling of pride when you watch your kids take the plunge (metaphorically, but in your case, literally!) and put themselves out there. Congrats to your son! That dinner looks delish! My hubs doesn't cook but I love making things he likes. As for patience...I'm pretty patient when it comes to the big things in life. I have a hard time with the little things, like waiting for my husband to do a chore I can't do or just wanting to finish a home decorating project...things like that.

  10. I am not a very patient person either and the older I get it gets worse. It's like, life is flying by and I don't want to waste it waiting, lol. Look at those swimmers, I know that heart swelling with pride feeling while fighting back tears of so many of these "lasts" in these boys lives. A man that cooks like that, WOW!!!

  12. That dinner looks great, your husband get's a firm sincere 'Atta Boy'! Congrats to your son. A perfect ending to a swim career in HS. If I remember to take a deep breath and assess the situation I have patience. That said, if it is a line and I am in it, and someone tries to cut, my Zen moment is gone in a nanosecond!

  14. Looks yummy, and I am food addicted, and also love to make it, and always try to find new recipes, I am college student and I don't have enough time to explore new recipes, but recently I found https://www.buyessay.org.uk/best-custom-essay-writing-service/, now I can save much time to explore new recipes.

  15. It is good to see that you had a motivational Monday. For me, this Monday was too much hectic as I was too much busy in providing dissertation writing services to my UK based clients. Therefore, I could not get any motivation from any other side except from my work.
