Motivational Monday XXXVIII

Ah, those wise Beatles.  They were right.  As long as you have love - from your friends, your kids, your family - the rest will work itself out.  Happy Valentine's Week!

***********************************************************

I'm linking up with Shaunacey today for Monday Moments of Gratitude.  This week I'm grateful for:

  • Punxsutawney Phil.  And the Canadian version, Shubenacadie Sam. Neither one saw their shadow when they were so rudely yanked from their winter's slumber.  Great news, because I'm ready for spring.  And while I know that groundhogs can't really predict weather, my daffodils have started to sprout, so that's a good sign.
  • All the wonderful people who rescue dogs, foster dogs, and take care of animals in need.  A few of my best friends are passionate about saving animals, and the work they do is so important.  We've been trying to add another dog to our family for about five months, and the people we've met along the way have been amazing.

Be sure to check out Shaunacey's linkup and share a little gratitude of your own!

We had one groundhog here who said spring and another who said 6 more weeks of winter... I"m going to go with the spring one because I want to get out of the house!!!!!! It'll be so nice to get outdoors more with the kiddos!

  2. Daffodils ?! Wow. Our ground is still white and our driveway is currently so icy my husband referred to it yesterday as a "bobsled run"! I hope you find the perfect dog for your family :)

  5. I'm ready for spring too! We have so much snow I don't think I'll see any daffodils for awhile! We would love to adopt another dog too and will probably start looking for a rescue dog once it gets warmer.

  6. The daffodils are lovely! It's unseasonably warm here right now so I'm thinking of doing some planting. I'm hoping plant love will overcome my brown thumb.

  9. Thanks for the intro to the Canadian version of Phil. Can't believe you already have daffodils. Gosh, Punxsutawney Phil comes out and you get flowers!!! I would love to foster pups but I know I would wind up adopting every single one and would wind up with a kennel full. It was really rough when my girls worked at a vet clinic, they found all kinds of strays.
