My New Happy: October In Numbers

October In Numbers

October has come and gone, and today I heard Christmas music at the grocery store.  I literally have no words.  So instead, I'll share my month in numbers, and link up with Deena on Monday.

Let's start off with 1 new blog name and design!  I'm so excited to launch My New Happy after lots of work and changing my mind a hundred times.  Thank you to Rena at The Blogging 911 for all the help with the technical stuff.  If you need website maintenance or design assistance, Rena is wonderful to work with.  I also started a new Twitter account, because I can't log into my old one anymore, and Twitter has been not so helpful.  So I reluctantly gave up my followers and began anew. If you're inclined to give me a follow here, I promise to return the favor.

There were 2 weekend visits with the college boy.  He hitched a ride home and surprised me, and the next weekend C and I headed to Pullman for homecoming and the football game.  I sure miss that kid, although I wish he would smile like a normal person when I take his picture.

Usually I try not to complain about the rain.  I live in Seattle and it's part of the deal.  But this month was crazy - we had over 10" of rain, a new record for October (our normal is 3.5 inches).  And it rained on 25 days.  Yuck.  I need to move or build an ark.

Since it was raining and I couldn't go outside and do all the fun fall things, I spent 1 day being crafty. Which is 1 more than usual.  I put together this fall wreath for my door, and although it's nothing like Sarah's gorgeous Thanksgiving Wreath, it turned out pretty good.

Puppies and kittens everywhere!  Bogart is 6 months old, and he's been joining Abby for some field work. They don't look happy at all.

And grandma got a kitten.  She named him Sam, he's 7 weeks old, and I can't stand the cuteness.

Finally, I'm getting a visit from one of my favorite bloggers next weekend.  She has become a good friend, and I'm so excited to welcome her to my part of the world for a little shopping, eating, and chatting.  I've spent hours planning, so be sure to follow along on IG to see what we're up to.

Have a wonderful weekend!

  10. A bloggy meet-up? Exciting! : )

I prefer your wreath. Very classic.

So much rain out that way. I find it makes style take a second seat to practicality.

Your pup and Mom's kitten are adorable!

Your new blog design suits you so well.
