The Blended Blog Style: Date Night Dress

Welcome back to the new Blended Blog Style!  During our meet up in Toronto, we decided to stick with one theme for Fashion Wednesday's going forward.  We hope you'll join us and link up your fashion posts below, and check back each week to see if you are featured!

I've decided that June is the "month of the dress", and today I'm sharing a dressier look.

Most of the time, the hubby and I go on pretty casual date nights.  But every once in a while, it's fun to get fancied up and go somewhere nice.  I actually bought this Kohl's dress to go on a "date" with my friends in Toronto, but it was too cold and I couldn't bring myself to put it on.

I love everything about this dress - the print, the swing style, and the cold shoulder bell sleeves.  It's probably a little too short for me, but for date night, why not!  I added some simple gold jewelry and wedge sandals, and I'm ready to go.

  2. I've broken into dresses as the UK is currently hotter than LA at the moment. I'm loving how easy it is to get dressed.

  6. I hate to be cold, too! I don't think the dress is too short for you at all and it looks great on you! I love the cold shoulder trend right now and I really need to get another floral dress (I only have one, I need more! lol!).

  12. Are you kidding? That dress is the perfect length for showing off those great legs. I bet your hubs fell in love all over again. Perfect dress. Love the pattern, the cold shoulder detail, the flattering fit and the jewelry you paired with it. Even your little sandals are delicate and girly. A+

  13. What a gorgeous dress! I'm (oddly) wearing a date night dress today. I just felt like I wanted to wear something pink and pretty for the last day of school.
