Welcome to week one of the Fall Style Me Challenge. It's that wonderful time of the year when someone else tells me what to wear. Makes getting dressed in the morning so much easier.
My favorite part of the challenge is putting my own spin on the suggested outfits. However, sometimes things just don't work out. Exhibit A - the ensemble on the left. Alison styled a monochromatic look with a blush blouse and burgundy pants, one of my favorite color combos for fall. It was too warm for long sleeves, so I went with a t-shirt instead. And I really do not like it. It would have looked better with a cardigan, but again, too warm. Chalk this one up to a Style Me Challenge fail, and we're moving on...
To day two. Alison suggested an orange sweater, boyfriend jeans, and leopard flats. Bright orange is not a good color on me, so I went with a darker toned top. I love these boyfriend jeans from Loft, and leopard is always a good idea. I'm much happier with this outfit.

DeleteI actually liked the first outfit :) I haven't found the blush blouse yet...keep looking but haven't found anything that speaks to me. I couldn't wear todays outfit because it's just too warm out. :)
ReplyDeleteI usually have the opposite problem - I can't wear the spring/summer outfits because it's still too cold!
DeleteI love the deep jewel toned colour of those jeans!

DeleteYou look so cute! I like how both looks came together, but I know how it is if you just aren't feeling what you're wearing. I might have to put my spin on both of these ideas, as I really like them. Thanks for linking up with Fabulous Friday!
