Welcome to this week's Style Perspectives! Today we're linking up with Abbie to share a pattern blouse with neutrals. Be sure to head to The Blended Blog to see the top two white pants looks from last week, and then link up with us below.
When I look through my closet, I see lots of stripes, some polka dots, plenty of plaid, but not a lot of pattern. Something to add to my list when I'm done with the shopping ban! So I went into the deep recesses and found this blouse that I purchased last spring for a style challenge.
It's got a bit of a boho vibe, so I paired it with flare jeans from Loft and some big hoop earrings. At my house, denim is definitely a neutral! I love the colors and pattern in this blouse - why was it hiding?
Week 12 of Shop My Closet - and I was a picture failure again. Maybe I'll have my act together by the end of the year.
Thursday
Every year St. Patrick's Day rolls around and I realize that I don't own anything green. My military jacket was the best I could do.
Saturday
A sort of sunny day, so time to bring the white keds out of hibernation. Thanks for the reminder, Sarah!
Monday
Remember my not so fashionable husband? He told me this scarf looks like I have a tarantula around my neck. Again, this is why I never listen to him. Although, it kind of looks like a beard. Whatever... I like it so I'm keeping it.

Haha! That scarf is cute and does definitely not look like a tarantula! I love your bright printed top and flare jeans!

Doused In Pink
Thanks Jill. That man does not know what he's talking about!
DeleteThank you for styling flare jeans, I need to see way more pictures before I delve back into that trend. I have forgotten how to wear them! I also wish my legs were as long as yours.
ReplyDeleteI never know how to style them either - but this top seemed right.
DeleteThat blouse so makes me think sunshine!!!! So bright and cheery and LOVE the flares!! You're adorable!!
ReplyDeleteThank you sweet Andrea!
Deleteyou're rocking the boho look my friend!!! So spring-y (that's a word, yes?).
ReplyDeletehow cute is that necklace?
Simply Shaunacey
Yep, springy is definitely a word. Thank you!
DeleteOh, this bold and bright print blouse is so happy and fun! Your closet and my closet sound the same when it comes to patterned tops and I am trying to branch out and embrace them more. You look so great and ready for spring, Lana!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I don't know why I don't own more prints - they hide a lot!
DeleteLove that shirt on you friend. And yes jeans are totally a netural. And your St. Patrick's Day outfit, love it! I don't have any green either, I was going to wear my military jacket but then realized, hey I have olive pants!
ReplyDeleteOh, I forgot about my olive pants! So I have two green things!
DeleteGreat shirt! I didn't have a ton of pattern either, just floral and stripes. I used jeans as a neutral as well. Flares look great on you!
ReplyDeleteThanks Nicole. I'm never sure about flares, especially because they're so long.
DeleteYou look great as always, Lana! Hope you enjoy your Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteThanks you Laura!
DeleteI LOVE your colourful top. When you pop up for a visit you'll understand why. It's all the colours of my kitchen. Today it's yet another dreary, wet day and that top would be perfect for cheering me up. Interested in a loan?
ReplyDeleteI will totally loan my top to you! I'm so tired of the gray days - is spring here yet?
DeleteLOVE this look on you!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Darlene!
DeleteI love the color & pattern on your blouse! It looks great with the flares!
ReplyDeleteThanks Andrea!
DeleteHa! Your husband cracks me up. He should consider himself an honorary member of the fashion police.
ReplyDeleteIt is so nice to see you in a bold colourful pattern. It looks great with your hair.
bisous
Suzanne
Well, he definitely thinks he's funny.
DeleteWhy didn't I keep all my flare jeans?? They look so great. I love that fun colourful print on you. I feel really drawn to Boho this spring and it may be because it's loose and comfy, but I love that look!
ReplyDeleteLoose and comfy is definitely key. This is why I can never throw anything away!
DeleteI have no green myself! I have no idea why. I do have a bright green jacket from my pre-pregnancy days but it doesn't quite fit anymore.
ReplyDeleteI do love blouses with a bit of a Boho vibe.
Boho and green would both look great on you!
DeleteYou look so pretty in that 1st picture Lana!!
ReplyDeleteWell thanks, Mili!
DeleteWhat a pretty top - it is so colorful and works well with the flares.

Thank you Lisa!
DeleteHe may not have very good fashion sense, but he is hilarious! First "Where's Waldo?"
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, he's funny, that one. Or at least he thinks he is!
DeleteLana, I think you look great in flares and boho style works well for you. Yay!! Mr.G likes to have his input...he really is funny.
ReplyDeleteHe definitely has a lot to say! Thanks Carrie!
DeleteI like this whole 'vibe'. Reminds me of the first time flares became popular. You look like a flower child, a child of Mother Earth, and I love that. Those warm colors in your top are really pretty. Hope that outfit makes it into your regular circulation.
ReplyDeleteThanks Leslie! I'm definitely keeping these.
DeleteEvery March 17th I wonder why there is not any green clothing in my closet. And then I forget to shop for anything in that shade. Maybe this will be the year! I noticed with some envy the daffodils blooming in your patterned blouse picture. We had more snow yesterday.
ReplyDeleteOur crazy daffodils have been blooming for about a month, seemingly oblivious to the cold temperatures!
DeleteHahaha!!! Your husband is wrong, because Monday's outfit is my absolute favorite! I just love the blush and purple together I think!

I was so happy to pull my white keds out!
DeleteThose colours and the pattern are perfect on you! I bet you'll be adding more of that into your closet. LOL at your husband's comment; funny how men see things so differently... xx
ReplyDeleteThank you! I wasn't sure about the color with my hair, but I think it works.
DeleteI'm with you with the no green for St. Patty's Day dilemma. I had to laugh at the tarantula comment!! You are rockin' the boho vibe!! Wowzers!!

ReplyDeleteI wear it all the time!
