Today we're styling Shades of Pink. Which is one of my favorite colors, so I had lots of fun choosing an outfit. And then it started raining. And raining. And raining. Which is normal for spring time in Seattle, but made it difficult to go outside and take pictures. I finally gave up, and decided to share this outfit that was featured last month with Carrie on Create28.
My brother gave me this Ann Taylor blouse for Christmas. Actually, I'm sure his girlfriend picked it out, because a true gift from my brother would definitely include a camo print. I added a leather jacket and boots because....Seattle. And my favorite Wit And Wisdom jeans.
I have now reached week 10 of shopping my closet. I never thought I'd say this, but I'm getting really tired of sweaters, and you're probably getting tired of seeing them. The spring styles are calling to me. Must stay strong.
Wednesday
Except for the moto boots and owl necklace, this entire outfit is an Old Navy extravaganza.
Saturday
What happened to Thursday and Friday? I'm pretty sure I got dressed both days, but I can find no photographic evidence. Hmm. I wanted to wear this buffalo plaid scarf before it got too warm, but I failed. Between the turtleneck tunic sweater, vest and scarf, I was boiling hot in five minutes.
Sunday
This lace shoulder sweater is the other part of the Christmas gift from my brother. Since he was coming over for dinner, I thought I'd wear it for him. Of course, he'd already forgotten that he bought it for me. Brothers...sigh.
Tuesday
I'm out of words. Another sweater, another scarf. Is spring here yet?

And finally, next week we're styling a white pants look. I need some serious help in this area. See you then!
All of these are really cute outfits! I know what you mean though, I'm getting tired of wearing sweaters too. It was almost 70 degrees yesterday and it was so nice to wear a top and sandals!

Doused In Pink
Oh, 70 sounds so wonderful! I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon!
DeleteSilly weather, too bad you don't have a pink rain coat. OOOOOOO...add it to the Vegas list.
ReplyDeleteShoes to Shiraz
Um, actually I do. Forgot all about it. See, I have too many clothes!
DeleteHa ha. Your brother is funny.
ReplyDeleteIt is going to be 17 here today which means no jacket required, maybe just a light sweater. I'm ecstatic considering we had a huge snow storm only a week ago.
bisous
Suzanne
He thinks he's very funny. No jacket weather sounds wonderful!
DeleteVery pretty pink floral top and I really like how you styled it. Love the softer shades in your plaid scarf and I can see it being a great piece for transitioning into spring.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I really like that scarf because of the different colors.
DeleteLove your style!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI remember that lace shoulder sweater from when you originally wore it (maybe last spring?!) I love it, it's such a pretty piece.
ReplyDeleteThe blouse is super pretty on you too!!
Simply Shaunacey
Thank you. Which is why I'm sure my brother didn't pick it out.
DeleteOh you pretty thing you!! What a gorgeous top and outfits!!! You're so adorable!
ReplyDeleteAnd you are so sweet!
DeleteI was very impressed with your brother's choice. But you are probably right, it was chosen by his girlfriend!
ReplyDeleteMost definitely :)!
DeleteI know, right? We could most certainly do with some sunshine up here in Vancouver, too! I grinned when I read your comment about the buffalo plaid scarf. Same thing happens to me all the time. Looks chilly, don the scarf and head out. Man alive! Far too hot. And yet, the rain continues to fall. I am taking comfort in the daffodils that are springing up though. There's hope, Lana. There's hope.
ReplyDeleteOh, I hope you're right. Our daffodils are up, but at this point I think they're drowning.
DeleteYou ladies rocked out the first week of your style linkup. Love it. Great looks from the look, especially the first two, Lana. =) I love this week's pink theme.
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining my linkup last week and hope to see you there to link up tomorrow, too. Thank you. =))
Thank you Ada - pink is such a great color!
DeleteYour brother/his girlfriend has some good taste in clothes! That lace shouldered sweater...love it! How many sweaters do you own woman?!
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid to count. Let's just say....a lot ?!?
DeleteYour Wednesday and Sunday outfits are top-notch in my book! I wish I could find a way to pull those looks off.
ReplyDeleteI have no doubt you look great in everything!
DeleteYou've got style, girl. Love your outfits. Have a good week, Lana.
ReplyDeleteThank you Katie!
DeleteI remember that pink top outfit! Such a cute look!

Making the Most of Every Day
Thanks Sheila!
DeleteI love your style. You have such an eye for mixing and matching! Thanks style guru!!
ReplyDeleteI have never been called a style guru, but I'll take it!
DeleteLove that blouse. Your brother/sister in law did great lol. Also love all the other outfits ! Have the same plaid scarf as you. Twinsies !!
ReplyDeleteYay for twinsies! It's a great scarf - I love the weight and the colors!
DeleteYou are just rocking your challenge with wearing what's in your closet. Still love your pink look!
ReplyDeleteYou've inspired me to keep going with the challenge. But I'm going to do a little shopping in Vegas!
DeleteRain, rain, go away! But rain or sun, you wore that pink blouse beautifully. Just added all of your looks to our TBB Pinterest boards. So many pretty outfits right out of your closet. Well done, sweet friend.
ReplyDeleteThanks Leslie. I just figured out how to add stuff to the TBB boards. Now I just need to remember!
DeleteI LOVE Wit and Wisdom jeans! Looking forward to seeing how you style white pants. :-)
ReplyDeleteMe too. They have a pair of girlfriend fit that I've been eyeing at Nordstrom - but alas, shopping ban.
DeleteI'm with you. Is it spring yet? Granted, we are supposed to be in the 50-60s for several days so I'll take it. Such fun outfits :)
ReplyDeleteSpring can't get here fast enough. The weather in Vegas better be good!
DeleteI didn't know you were in Seattle. My husband is traveling there for work next week! I wish I could go with him as I've always wanted to see Seattle. I just love that red houndstooth scarf!! I have a similar lace shoulder top, but in blush.

Oh, too bad you can't come with him. Seattle is a wonderful city, especially when it's not raining!
DeleteLana - I am with you - I am so tired of sweaters. I am ready for a change of wardrobe (now if new spring items would magically appear in my closet)! Sunday is my favorite look.

Thank you Erica!
DeleteCute outfits Lana! We are seeing a few signs of Spring, but it seems early yet here. Just remember - all that rain is the reason for all your beautiful flowers!
ReplyDeleteThat's true - it is very green here right now!
DeleteI love the sweater your brother forgot his girlfriend bought you haha! Believe me I know all about that and getting cordless screwdrivers and all kinds of crazy gifts. I have four of them. I mean three God I just can't get used to saying that.
ReplyDeleteGotta love the crazy gifts our siblings give us!
