Welcome back to another Style Perspectives! I loved all the spring sweaters from last week. Thanks so much to everyone who linked up and joined in the fun, and a special shout out to Deena for creating our collage.
Today we're joining Christy for her "signature look" - a cardigan, tshirt, jeans and a statement necklace. Be sure to head to The Blended Blog to see how she's styling it, and find out who the top two looks were from last week.
So.......do you ever have an outfit idea that looks good in your head, but when you put it on and take pictures, it doesn't turn out so great? That happened to me this week. And then it started to rain, and I ran out of time, so I'm stuck with this look. Which is why I'm not a fashion blogger, but a blogger who writes about fashion sometimes.
It would have looked better with white Converse or sandals, and maybe a darker blue cardigan. And what about the tree that appears to be growing out of my back? It looks like I'm sprouting green peacock feathers! Oh well, there's always next week.
It's week 15 of Shop My Closet, and I'm calling this "collage of the Tom's", since apparently I wore them every day. Not sure what happened, since I don't really like them THAT much. Apparently, I need to get more creative with my shoes.
Linking up today with A Lovely Little Wardrobe, The Pleated Poppy, Thursday Fashion Files, Fashion Friday, Fabulous Friday, Pumps and Pushups, How I Style It, Not Dead Yet Style, My Refined Style, Thursday Moda, I do Declaire
Be sure to check out everyone's cardigan's and statement necklaces, and come back next week for graphic tees. I hope you'll link up below, or join along on Insta/Facebook/Twitter using #theblendedblogstyle. We'd love to see your looks!

Your varsity cardigan is so cute! I'm loving all of the layered looks from the week too! My Tom's are always by the back door so I'm wearing them more often than not also.

Tom's are just so comfortable - I seem to grab them every time!
DeleteI love the shades of this outfit and the cool cardigan, but mostly the greenery and I can now picture where you are in your backyard because I'm a snoop.
ReplyDeleteHahahahaha!
DeleteYou are sprouting beauty is what!! Love the softness of this sweater, you look so young, like a college girl!!
ReplyDeleteYou are so sweet Andrea!
DeleteI really like the light colours, and you're necklace is great. You made me remember I have TOMS somewhere in my closet. Must find them:)
ReplyDeleteThanks Nicole!
DeleteIt happens to me all the time. I usually don't realize that I don't like it until I see myself in the full length meal... when I am already at work! With that being said I love the color of your cardi!
ReplyDeleteThanks Christy. I have gotten rid of so many things during my shop my closet challenge, after I see myself in the picture!
DeleteYou always looks so beautiful and put together, Lana! As always, I love your style!
ReplyDeleteThanks Laura! You're always so sweet.
DeleteThat varsity cardi WOULD look cute with some Converse! Too funny about the tree growing out of your back, lol! Its funny how we notice those things afterwards.

I know, right? It wasn't until I was editing the pictures that I noticed the tree!
DeleteLove the cardigan and the shade of blue!!
ReplyDeleteJaymie
Thanks Jaymie!
DeleteHi Lana! You are my first stop on my Blended Blog "get to know you." I feel like it happens all the time when an outfit doesn't work in photos like I thought it did in real life. Then I wonder if it really looked like that and I just didn't know? Haha. I like your outfit, though! I think the blue cardigan compliments your blond hair!
ReplyDeleteThanks Whitney. I do like the color, but I think I'm better in brights.
DeleteI love all the looks as always!
ReplyDeleteThanks Rena!
DeleteLove all your looks pretty lady!
ReplyDelete:)
DeleteI like the blues and whites of your outfit! I think it works!
ReplyDeleteBut I know what you mean about things looking quite different in my head than when I put them actually on. Happens all the time! That's why I usually try my work outfits on on the weekend to make sure everything works, especially when it's a new combo.
That's a good idea Andrea. I always have good intentions to plan out my outfits for the week, but it never seems to happen!
DeleteLove the blue cardigan, it's always such a fun way to wear a staple piece!
ReplyDeleteRaindrops of Sapphire
Thank you Lorna!
DeleteI love soft and sheer sweaters and that one is a winner for sure!
ReplyDeleteThey are perfect for spring around here!
DeleteNot peacock feathers, angel wings! Love that baby soft blue. And your necklace is perfect with it. Enjoying your outdoor settings lately. XO
ReplyDeleteYou are the sweetest Leslie. I finally bought a tripod, so I'm trying to be more creative with my pictures.
DeleteI love the coolness of this outfit, so pretty.
ReplyDeleteAlso, see you TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WHAT?!
Simply Shaunacey
Thanks Shaunacey. I'm finally doing comments and Vegas is over - WAH!
DeleteI like your varsity cardigan. I know what you mean about outfits looking better your head - that always happens to me for work - and then I end up running late and frantically trying to pick something else. Have fun in Vegas!
