Spring Fever Fashion: Wear The Stripes

Welcome back to Spring Fever Fashion with my lovely friends at The Blended Blog.  Thanks to everyone who linked up with us last week!  We keep growing and it's because of all of you.

Since I know you all come to my blog for weather updates, I'm sad to report that spring still hasn't arrived in Seattle. On Saturday we had a brief glimpse, when the clouds parted for a moment to reveal the beauty that is waiting out there.  A quick reminder of why I love living here.

Now, onto the stripes.  Stripes are a fun trend that has continued into spring.  While the old rules say you should wear them vertically for a slimming effect, I say wear them whichever way you want.  Stripes shouldn't have rules.

This dress from Old Navy is a perfect transition piece, with 3/4 sleeves and a heavier knit.  I tied a denim shirt around my waist to throw on when I get cold, and finished off with my trusty Converse and a Kate Spade flower necklace.

Easy, breezy and stripe-y!

  3. I like strips, I even wear horizontal strips when I’m feeling brave. I hope spring arrives in Seattle ASAP! It’s getting warmer and warmer everyday in Northern California, Still not shorts weather but a huge improvement from all the rain we received. Old Navy is back on my list of places to shop, they did something the last few years and the clothes are adorable. I’m loving you in this striped dress, you look chic and sporty. Have a great week Lana, its almost over ;)

We have had five straight days of cold rain. Today it's sunny and 50 which feels miraculous.

  6. Perfect striped dress. I have a dress like this from ON, it isn't striped but I think it's the same fit. I wear it all of the time, so comfy!
