Spring Fever Fashion: Choker Blouse

Welcome back to Spring Fever Fashion with my lovely friends at The Blended Blog.  Thanks to everyone who linked up with us last week!  We keep growing and it's because of all of you.

Sometimes a trend comes along, and I can't quite figure out how to make it work. I love choker necklaces on every one else, but me, not so much.  Truthfully, I didn't wear them back in the 90's either.  I wanted to look like Cher in Clueless, but chokers made me feel like I was, well...choking.

When I found this 1 State choker neck blouse, I knew I had the answer.

The neckline is feminine and comfortable and gives the illusion of a choker.  Plus, the color is so bright and pretty! Not much jewelry is needed with this blouse, so I just added some bangle bracelets from Loft.

Voila!  Choker problem solved.  As Cher would say "you see how picky I am about my shoes, and those only go on my feet"!

  2. I love that color on you! And, the choker trend really works - you look great. I have always felt the same way - never wore it back in the 90s because it just looked odd on me.

  4. Ha ha, that is funny. I just finished taking pictures with the same blouse in black. I also don't like cookers on me, but I also don't like the blouse on me! Yours is such a great colour and looks absolute adorable.

  8. I don't love chokers but I love choker blouses! Or ones with cool criss-cross patterns on the top. It's just.. different.

  9. I feel that way with this off the shoulder ruffle trend. I don’t like wearing oversized shirts they make me look heavy and strapless bras are uncomfortable so I’ll be skipping that trend this season. I’m dying to try a choker neck blouse. You look great in yours Lana :)

    1. Thank you Mary! I've pretty much given up on off the shoulder too. My shoulders are too broad and I totally agree about the strapless bra!

  11. Ohhh, the bright pink is so pretty on you! I have a choker top, but it is white... so not AS exciting as yours! I also love that initial bracelet.

  12. You look adorable in this color Lana! I purchased a similar top back in December and that was as far as I made it with the choker style.

  15. That vibrant pink looks super on you. I haven't seen this built-in choker trend in El Paso but we are generally about a year behind the times. Great bracelets, too.
