Since I've spent the entire month chattering on about sleeves, I thought I'd end strong with this cute ruffle sleeve shift dress from Old Navy. It comes in a bunch of colors and patterns, and the shift style is flattering and comfy. Normally I order tall in ON dresses, but this one still seems kinda short. Either I clicked the wrong button or I grew a few inches. I'm going with the likely scenario of some sort of clicking problem on my end. Oh well, it works with tights and boots.
Old Navy also has a great selection of costume jewelry. It's fun to add a few on trend pieces without spending a lot. These earrings were on clearance for $4.99!
And just for fun, take a look at the very fashionable outfit I wore last Saturday for the WSU/Colorado football game I attended with my son. I laughed when I saw this picture, because I look like Gru's sister from Despicable Me. If he had one. Anyway. It was 39 degrees, and pouring rain with 40 mph winds.
I had on a tshirt, long underwear, a fleece lined flannel, a puffer coat, gloves, hat, jeans, rain boots, and my trusty poncho. I could barely move my arms, but I was warm! My child, on the other hand, was wearing a hoodie, canvas converse, and agreed to the poncho at the last second. Which is why he was cold and wet, and we had to leave at half time. Sigh. Twenty year olds do not listen to their mamas.

What a darling dress! The sleeves do make it! I love your football look, I've been there many times and they are calling for a similar night here for Friday's sectional so I'm digging out my long underwear, lol. You look darling no matter what you wear!!
ReplyDeleteThank you friend!
DeleteNew material to get the job done is always appreciated. Thanks for posting.
ReplyDeleteHa ha! Love your second outfit.
ReplyDeleteThere is no way I'd be watching any sports in that weather. Well...I don't even watch sports indoors. Thank heavens my husband is the same.
Suzanne
It's funny, because my husband doesn't like to watch sports at all. So it's usually me and the boys!
DeleteYour look is my fall and winter jam. Dresses, leggings, and boots are my go to wardrobe style for these seasons. You're not the only one that's "grown" by ON standards! I bought a similar polka dot dress and it was too short on me, too! I'm 5'3" so everything is always too long on me! Enjoy your Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteHaha - ON sizing is always so wonky!
DeleteLove this!!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI love the easy breezy Old Navy dresses. I want yours. And girl I noticed all the pretty jewelry, right away. You look so pretty Lana.
ReplyDeleteHappy Hump Day!
Thank you so much Ada!
DeleteI have been loving your sleeve posts and this one is no exception. You look great all bundled up too!
ReplyDeleteNot sure how great I looked, but at least I was warm and dry :)!
DeleteI am all about statement sleeves right now! I love the sleeves on this dress! I also love that cute ceramic pumpkin on your porch! I had to laugh at how bundled up you are! I love it! That would be me, too!

I love that pumpkin too - I actually got it at the grocery store for $5, so it's my fall score!
DeleteYour legs look 80030302 feet long in that dress with those boots. Can't wait to see you !
ReplyDeleteOnly one more week!!!
DeleteThese sleeves are so fun, Lana!! But it cracked me up what you wore in the rain (and of course your son wouldn't listen to you....what do you know...you're only his mother?? LOL)

You got the legs to wear a short dress with tights and boots, it looks great. I can't believe your son admitted he was cold and wanted to leave! Fall football anywhere, the thought makes me shiver. You are brave to even face the elements, of course well prepared and looking cute!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute dress! Love it and with tights and boots looks great, didn't even notice the short length. and LOL to the Gru comment, you are so funny. and nope boys never listen to their mama's when it comes to being warm.
ReplyDeleteYou've been nailing it in the style department with all of your fun sleeves lately!
ReplyDeleteHooray for more fun sleeves! Also, you are hardcore for going to that game, even if you left at halftime!
ReplyDeleteI have been trying my best to avoid Old Navy, but seeing you in this dress is seriously tempting me! Love the color and the sleeves. It looks great with the tights and boots.
ReplyDeleteThe color is really awesome on you. I haven't been to Old Navy in ages, but it's such a great store for my kids AND me.
