Motivational Monday XLI

Last week, Shaunacey wrote a great post about realizing that each and every day, we have a choice. She chose happiness, which is a really good one.  Then she asked what choice we are making, which got me thinking.

I realized that I've been taking myself way too seriously lately.  Sure, there are difficulties going on in my life right now, but still, the good always outweighs the bad. Laughter really is the best medicine.  And then there's this very important consideration:

So far, so good.  I'm choosing laughter.  What will you choose today?

Speaking of Shaunacey, I'm linking up today for Monday Moments of Gratitude.  This week I'm grateful for:
  • Lunch and shopping on Saturday with my mom and sister.  It was mom's birthday, and we wanted to start this year off on a good note.

  • Signs of spring everywhere.  Do we dare hope it's coming early this year?

Don't forget The Blended Blog's Style Perspectives series starting this Wednesday. Every week we'll each give our interpretation of the prompt.  Stop by for lots of outfit inspiration, and link up with us.  If you don't have a blog, you can jump in on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with #theblendedblogstyle. This week we're styling a wrap/outer layers.  Can't wait!

  4. As I contemplated the very real possibility that folks signed up to my blog through email are no longer getting the alerts due to some technical glitch I suddenly found myself laughing. I mean is that not Just TypiKel? I'm with you, Lana. You really just have to laugh. Golly, I've got a wealth of wrinkles and I'm choosing to consider them all laugh lines. Thank you! A very special Happy Leap Year Day to you and yours.

  17. Happy belated birthday to your mom. I can't believe how far along your flowering trees are. We do have tulips poking through the soil - but much too early, as more cold weather lies ahead. I love the photo with you and your mom and sister - great smiles x3!
