My New Happy: Pretty Pastels

Pretty Pastels

My favorite trend for spring and summer is pastels.  Lemon yellow, mint green, pale pink - I love them all!  Pastel colors are so fresh and feminine and can turn any outfit into a smile.

This is what I wore for Mother's Day lunch at my sister's house.  It wasn't very warm, but the sun was finally shining so I pulled out the mint green.  My son gave me white Tom's for my birthday - perfect with pastels.

My niece made this bracelet and it paired perfectly with my shirt.

So cute - and she made it with rubber bands!  I think she has a future on Etsy.

If you're thinking of trying pastels, there are so many options.  I'm loving these shorts from Loft. They have the perfect inseam and come in 16 colors.

For a pop of pastel, these scarves from Kohl's would be fun with with a white shirt and jeans, or you could try a tank top under a denim shirt.

Today I'm joining my friends from the Style Me Challenge to find a little inspiration in the everyday.  Head over to Foxy's Domestic Side for the linkup!

  1. Hmm. Not sure I even have anything pastel in my wardrobe - but this is inspiring me to possibly change that! I love the motivation these style posts provide!
Maybe your niece could write a tutorial for the cute rubber band bracelet as a guest post on your blog! It is really cute!

  19. Very pretty on you! In spite of it's popularity, very pale mint can be challenging to wear... but your skin and hair are enhanced, even in this cool light! Lucky you. Yeaaay for Toms ... great program, yes?

    1. Thanks so much for the compliment. Sometimes I wear colors that aren't so good on me just because I like them. Getting better about that as I get older though. Yes, part of the reason I have so many Tom's is for their philanthropic work.
