41Hawthorn Stitch Fix

I love the Daniel Rainn top I bought from last month's Stitch Fix, so I decided to give the program a try again.  I tend to buy the same things from the same places, which I guess is fine, since I know what I like.  But getting a box of pretty clothes chosen for me is fun, and I'm being introduced to new labels and styles that I wouldn't normally try on.

After giving my stylist online feedback about last months' items, I was excited to see what would arrive at my door this time.

Why does the stylist keep sending me orange?  This cutout tank top was adorable, but the color was doing me no favors.   The Daniel Rainn top on the left was very pretty, and I loved it on the hanger, but it had a peplum bottom and didn't fit me right.  I liked the color of the cobalt clutch, but I know it would sit in my closet being admired, and rarely used.  I also received a pair of black skinny jeans which fit well but didn't thrill me.  Jeans are tricky.

Just like last month, I fell in love with one item - this mint colored sweater from 41Hawthorn.  I may have mentioned that I'm always cold, so layering pieces are highly esteemed in my wardrobe!   This sweater is the perfect weight for a summer evening and it drapes really well. I think it will be a very versatile piece - I like how it looks with white shorts and a tank top, and it would also be cute with a dress or jeans.

Stitch Fix number two was a success!  Now if I can just talk to the stylist about orange...

  1. I still have not tried Stitch Fix but I've heard that the selection gets better the more you use them. The open cardi is really cute and I love the mint color on you!

  2. That's a really cute sweater and I love the color! It's hot in the summer here, but I always need to bring a light sweater in restaurants because they keep the air conditioning so cold. This would be perfect!

    1. I'm always so cold in air conditioning too. I've already worn this a few times, and it's the perfect weight.

  4. I am in love with mint but have yet to find a piece that I want to purchase. Great color on you, Lana. I agree with you, I would admire the purse but not use it either.

    1. Thanks Carrie. I have several things in this color - after pink, it's my favorite pastel.

  7. I love all those 3 tops and especially the royal blue clutch. Are you sure about orange? I think you can pull it off. I mean it. You look gorgeous in Mint by the way. =) I wore my White Bermuda Shorts with a Graphic Tee the other day.

    1. Thanks Ada - you're so sweet. Whenever I try orange it seems to wash me out. Maybe I should give it another try.
