My Favorite Books - Meeting Jenni Pulos

If you've seen the hit Bravo reality series Flipping Out, then you know Jenni Pulos.  She has always been my favorite person on the show, and she recently wrote a book about the ups and downs of her acting career.

Grin And Bear It was on my list of must reads this summer, and when I saw that she would be doing a book signing at a store near my home, I talked my sister and family into going with me.

First of all, let me say that Jenni Pulos is DELIGHTFUL.  She is exactly as she appears on television - kind, funny, engaging, smart and lovely.  She started with a short talk about her book and her positive outlook on life.  We were even treated to a few excerpts from Deb.  When she spoke about being good to your mom, she (and her daughter) looked right at my boys.  Love it!

After her presentation, she signed copies of her book.  She spent quite a bit of time with each person, and was truly interested in her fans, asking lots of questions of us so she could personalize our copy.  So glad we got to meet her that day!

As for her book, Grin And Bear It, I really enjoyed it.  Jenni has been through many difficult trials in her career, and had to endure a very public break up of her first marriage, which was shown on Flipping Out.  Yet she has maintained a positive attitude through it all, and is now happily married with a beautiful daughter.  The book is interesting and funny, and full of lots of helpful insights to keep moving forward in life.   I highly recommend the book - and heading to a signing if Jenni's tour comes to your town!
