Sharing Some Gratitude Part Six

Due to recent events, I missed last month's gratitude post.  But it's NEVER too late to be grateful!

--I'm grateful for any bit of sunshine I can get these days.  After 16 straight days of rain (and I'm talking drenching downpours), the sun came out!  It was so nice to see it streaming through the windows into the living room.

--I'm grateful that our friend Todd continues to improve.  It has been four months since his accident, and he has lots of movement in his upper extremities and is starting to work on his legs.  His goal is to take a step by January, and I think he's going to get there.  You can read his story here and visit his Facebook page here.  He is truly inspirational.

--I'm grateful for this guy.  He had such an amazing cross country season.  At the awards banquet on Wednesday, he received his three year varsity letter and was given the Coaches Award.  His coach described him as "one of the nicest kids you'll ever meet", and "exactly who you want to represent your team as a long distance runner". We couldn't be more proud of him.

--I'm grateful that November is here, because that means we're going on vacation in three weeks.  Not sharing where we're headed just yet - but it will be warm and wonderful!

--I've already said it a lot during the past few weeks, but I'm grateful for the support from around the world that has flowed into our town of Marysville.  Last Sunday the Seahawks wore MP on their helmets and had a moment of silence before the game.  It really meant a lot to all of us.

I'm grateful for each and every one of you that takes the time to read my blog.  Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

  1. I love these posts you do Lana, such a nice idea. We should all stop and write down what we are grateful for at the end of each week, since we usually forget to be grateful. Thanks for reminding us and have a great weekend.

  5. Are you going back to Mexico perhaps? Warm and wonderful margaritas on the beach? Sounds like an awesome way to spend Thanksgiving (if I'm correct). I am staying right here for awhile but planning on celebrating the holidays like we haven't in a while. We certainly have alot to be thankful for this year! Every time I see T I think of the jigsaw puzzles. Tell him congratulations on his awards and congratulations to his momma for raising such a fine young man and very handsome!
