Sharing Some Gratitude Part Seven

Tis the season to be grateful!  I'm working on my gratitude all year long, but it's pretty easy this time of year.

--I'm grateful that our Christmas decorations are up.  Because of our vacation, we put everything up the weekend before Thanksgiving.  Normally that's a no-no at our house! Luckily the weather cooperated and we got the outside lights on too.  Tomorrow on the blog I'll be sharing our Lenox tree.

--I'm grateful that our furnace is working.  It's been pretty cold here, and our house is sixteen years old.  We had a repair man out to do a winter check up, and he said it looks good for at least a few more years.  Yay!!

--I'm grateful for Christmas candy and cookies.  Yum.  I think I have a sugar problem, which I will definitely address once the holidays are over :)!

--I'm grateful that our community continues to heal and move forward.  On Monday I helped a group of volunteers remove the huge memorial that had grown along the fence in front of Marysville Pilchuck High School.  It's time for the next step.

--I'm grateful for my brother.  He hasn't made an appearance on the blog yet, but here he is!  He's smart and kind, and takes my family fishing and hunting.  I love this guy.

I hope you find what you're grateful for during this magical time of year!

  2. I hear you about addressing the sugar problems.. AFTER the holidays. And Candy Cane kisses?! I've never had one.
We did our decorations on Friday but we've done them before Thanksgiving too. Some years just call for it!

  3. Anyone reading our blogs back to back would think we had been given some writing prompts ... my post wasn't exactly a gratitude post, but my outside holiday lights and the heating of our house were both mentioned today as well! Too funny! I can't wait to see your lenox tree - and I'm envious of you having your decorating all done!
