A Blogger Exchange: Sharing Our Home

Happy Friday!  The Style Me Bloggers are back with a really fun topic. On May 29th we shared "this place we call home", and today we're exchanging gifts, with another blogger, that represent our home.

We had just returned from our trip to San Antonio with Deena and Carrie, and I was feeling a little sad to be back to real life, so I was excited to find a package from Michelle at Sprinkled Just Right waiting in my mailbox last week.

Michelle is a military wife and stay at home mom who loves to organize (me too - you need to read her post about her errand planner) and is currently living in Virginia.  I've never been there, even though I lived on the East Coast for five years, but it's on my travel list.  She included a cute card that said "here's a few things you'll always find in my home".

First up was the Starbucks mug.  Michelle wrote that she has collected eight of these, including one from Seattle.  I live thirty minutes from where it all began, and I'm ashamed to say that I don't own a single coffee cup from there.  I love this one with the blue crab.

Next was a notepad, sticky notes and pencils.  This is so perfect for me - I can't seem to remember a single thing that pops into my brain, so I'm constantly writing things down on post it notes.  The colors are lovely!

I adore the Fleur de Lis napkins and paper straws.  Michelle said "who doesn't love drinking out of a fun straw"?  Perfect timing.  I'm having oral surgery today, and all of my food intake for the next few days will be through straws - and now I have pretty ones!

"Gotta have some bling".  I couldn't agree more, especially when you live in a house of men. These scissors will make me smile every time I use them.

And finally, Mike and Ike's.  I'm not sure there is a more perfect candy anywhere in this world.  Maybe Hot Tamales, but it would be a tight race.  As an aside, and a piece of advice for all of you with teenage boys in your future: the best hiding spot is in your underwear drawer.  It's the only place my boys won't go near, so anything I don't want them getting into (candy included) goes there.  Trust me, it's genius!

Thank you for my goodies, Michelle.  Maybe I'll get to Virginia before you move on and we will meet in person one day!

Be sure to check out the other Style Me Bloggers to see what fun things they received in our exchange.

And don't forget to enter our $200 giveaway - there's only seven days left!

  3. Thanks for sharing - prayers for your surgery today. I smiled to see the Starbucks mug. I have about 20 of them. My college age kids have traveled to Peru, Singapore and recently Spain and they know they have to visit a Starbucks and bring me back a mug! And I have a Seattle one.

  13. How fun to be introduced to some other bloggers this way Lana! What a nice package Michelle sent - and the straws were very timely! Glad to hear your dental work went well. I've had a busy week, but as soon as I get a moment, I am off to check the other posts. Can't wait to learn what was in the package you sent for the exchange, and “meet” the other bloggers.
