Crockpot Apple Cider & Fall Cocktails

It's finally starting to get chilly and rainy - which means it's time for some yummy apple cider.  I prefer making this recipe in the crockpot because it stays warm all day, and it makes the house smell amazing.

Add 1/2 tsp. cinnamon and 1/4 tsp. nutmeg to a gallon of apple cider (I prefer this to apple juice because it's not as sweet), set the crockpot to low, and let it simmer for a few hours. Add a cinnamon stick to each cup when serving.  So good, and perfect for company or a day sitting by the fire with a favorite book.

To really spice things up, you could add some rum.  But I'm going to let Katie handle that. She's over on The Blended Blog today, sharing some Fall Cocktails. You'll definitely want to head over and check it out, because that girl knows her cocktails!

  2. I never liked apple cider because it was too sweet...but I'm going to try adding apple cider to it instead of apple juice...maybe I'll like it more then. Plus I'll add more rum...
