Motivational Monday XXXIV

My word for this Monday is:  enough.

Enough feeling sorry for myself.  Enough worrying about what this year will bring.  Enough negativity.

What will be will be.  I want to live my life with hope, positivity and gratitude.  I need to get back to that.  It truly makes life better.

My friend Shaunacey from Confessions Of A Frumpy Mommy reminded me of that this week. For the record, she is the farthest thing from a frumpy mommy, but whatever.  Shaunacey is hosting a new link up called Monday Moments of Gratitude, and I plan to join her.  Each week I'll be sharing a few of the beautiful moments that make up my day.

This week, I'm grateful for:

  • We found out that C will be graduating a quarter early from his college program because he has done so well.  By April he will be a certified technician, and be promoted as a permanent member of the top team at his dealership.  So proud of this kid.
  • On Saturday we watched T swim at a huge invitational.  He put everything he had into the meet, and ended up with personal records in the 100 backstroke and 200 freestyle.  His new goal is to get district times in every event.
    •

I hope you will head over to Shaunacey's blog and link up with her.  I'd love to read about what you're grateful for.  Have a wonderful week!

  17. Congrats to both your boys! I think maybe what we will feel this year is not so much negativity - but nostalgia. Lots of reminiscing about the years when our kids were small, but also one thing I've learned in the years since my daughter graduated is that our role as mothers changes -but we will always be "mom" :)
