I Only Bought Five Things...

Well...maybe six.  Or nine.  There's no need to count, really.  The point is, I showed great restraint while shopping during our Blended Blog meetup in Hilton Head a few weeks ago.  Today we're all sharing our five favorite purchases, and you'll want to hop around and visit everyone, because some professional shopping happened!

Deena | Abbie | Lana | Shaunacey | Katie | Alison | Sarah
On vacation, there's that balance between wanting all the things, and knowing there's not room in your suitcase.  Unless you're Abbie, who doesn't let such minor details get in the way of a good shopping trip.  There are always new suitcases to buy.  I need to be more like Abbie.

Anyway...here's my five favorite purchases, in no particular order...

Speaking of Abbie, she arrived to Hilton Head in the cutest Blowfish Camo Sneakers, and I knew they had to be mine.  I found these floral ones instead, although I may have stalked the camo pair online and bought them when I got home.  But that's for another post.  These sneakers are amazingly comfortable right out of the box.  They run a 1/2 size large so size down.

Next, the Vera Bradley store, which I believe was recommended by Katie.  Why have I never purchased anything there before?  The entire place was a gazillion dollars off, making everything practically free.  I got this medium traveler bag, and I will never fly without it again.  It fits easily under the seat, and holds all the things you need.  Plus it's colorful and pretty and no one else will mistake it for theirs.

I bought a few things at Loft, although originally I didn't get this pendant.  Then I saw how gorgeous it was on Deena, and went back the next day.  It goes with everything.

No shopping trip is complete without a trip to Target (although why wasn't it on Target Street?), and Sarah, Katie and I got this adorable pullover there.  It's super soft and comfy, perfect for movie watching with friends.

I've been looking for a new black puffer coat.  It's hard to find one that fits over the girls, but doesn't make me look like a marshmallow person.  Who would have thought the perfect cold weather coat would be found in the most humid place on the planet?  But Michael Kors had a great selection, and Shaunacey got a beautiful red coat there too.  Bonus...this one is packable down, so it doubles as a pillow for long flights home.

That's five...but I'm adding a bonus item, because I love it so much.  I've mentioned before that I like to purchase something to wear from places I travel.  Alison introduced us to this beautiful store, except I still can't remember the name.  Spartacus? Spiriva?  Oh yeah, Spartina.  Isn't this the cutest wristlet? It will always remind me of this very special time with six amazing women!

Be sure to hop over to the other blogs to see what everyone else got.  And have a great weekend!

  12. Now I totally need that Vera Bradley bag! Love it! You bought great items and I'm like you - I love to buy something special from each place I visit to remind me of the time there. In Nashville I bought a Kendra Scott ring I had my eye on - I couldn't find anything with a real signature Nashville style. Your wristlet is PERFECT!
