Fashion With Fashom

I'm a big fan of clothing boxes.  It's always fun to get a package in the mail with new things to try on.  I recently tried FASHOM, a personal styling service with affordable prices.  I love their hashtag #BetterAsIAm, and the fact that they donate $1 of each box sent to a rescue dog organization.

FASHOM is a little different than other boxes, in that you choose which pieces will be sent to you.  After signing up and filling out a style/sizing profile, your stylist sends you a preview of nine pieces to look over.  You pick the five that you'd like to try at home.

My first item was the Bloom floral swing dress above.  The material was very soft and flowy, and the pockets were a bonus.  However, I have several similar dresses, so this one went back.

I had high hopes for this next dress by Gilli, although I wasn't too sure about the color for me.  But then I tried it on and...holy boobs!  They were definitely center stage.  I'm sure my husband would have been a big fan, but it went back too.

I did love and keep this navy floral top from Chris & Carol.  The fabric is so soft, and it has a really cute sleeve detail. I'll be able to wear it into the fall under a cardigan or blazer.

This Mittoshop top also stayed in my closet.  It's such a fun color and print, and another one that will transition well to fall.

The last piece was also by Mittoshop, but I wasn't a fan.  Purple isn't a favorite color, and it was just a little too big.

All in all, I enjoyed my box from FASHOM.  The one mistake I made was in the selection process.  If you don't love the first round of items the stylist chooses, you can ask for new options.  I didn't take the time to do that, and it's an important step that will make your experience even better.

Customers are offered a 25% discount if three items are purchased, and 30% off for all five.  Most of the pieces in my box were in the $35-$40 range.  There is a $15 styling fee per box that is applied towards any purchases, but the first styling fee is waived.  And since it's not a subscription, you can request boxes as you wish.

Some of my friends are also trying out FASHOM.  Check out Carrie, Jill, Kellyann and Shelly to see the pieces they received!

This post was sponsored by FASHOM, but all opinions are my own.

  1. Your stylist picked out some great pieces for you! It's too bad the dresses didn't work out. The two tops you kept are really cute and will transition easily into fall!
