Try The Trend: Snake Print

Happy Thursday!  Nope, not Wednesday.  I'm a day late...but I'm here!

How do you feel about the snake print trend?  I was very hesitant to give this one a try, because I REALLY don't like snakes.  Or their skin.

I started out small, with a pair of snake print booties.

As long as I didn't look at my feet, all was well!  And then Deena brought this snake print skirt into the shop.  I love the length and the color, so here goes nothing.

Skirt
Since it's a neutral, it can be worn so many ways - from dressy, to casual, to work appropriate.  The verdict is in, and apparently I can wear snake print.  Just remind me not to look down.

How's your winter going?  We're in the wettest, dreariest part of the year here in Seattle.  I was in serious need of some vitamin D, so when Thomas had to make a short trip to Southern California, I decided to tag along.

It was a lovely two days!  Although the temps were a little chilly, the blue skies and brilliant sunshine were just what I needed.

We drove up to San Luis Obispo, which is where my parents went to college 55 years ago.  After touring the campus and cute downtown area, we headed to Pea Soup Andersen's for lunch.  When I was young and we road tripped from San Francisco to LA, we always stopped here for a delicious bowl of split pea soup.  It was just as good as I remembered!

I'm not sure when we'll see the sun again, so hopefully these memories will tide me over until then.

Have a great weekend!

  4. I was going to say, like Indiana Jones, "Anything but snakes!" But you may have convinced me otherwise.
By the way, I went to San Luis Obispo for the first time over the summer. We stayed at The Madonna Inn. It was wild! So much magic in that town.

  5. I don't like snakes either but for some reason the print is just a design for me. You should plan a trip out here (we have a guest bedroom and lots of sun)
