My New Happy: Long Weekend Celebrations

Long Weekend Celebrations

Happy Monday!  Did you watch the royal wedding on Saturday?  I didn't get up early, but I recorded it and watched later.  Having seen Charles and Diana's wedding in 1981, and William and Kate's in 2011, this seemed like a full circle moment.  It makes my mama heart happy to see Harry smiling and clearly so in love with Meghan.

Today I'm linking up with The Blended Blog to talk about long weekend celebrations.  We haven't gotten away for a weekend in a while, so instead I'll share a few blasts from the past.

We always love visiting Canada, and Whistler is especially beautiful for a quick getaway.

Last year we headed for the mountains closer to home, and spent a long weekend in the old West town of Winthrop.

Finally, I can't leave out weekend celebrations with my friends from TBB.  How has it been a year since Toronto?

Link up your long weekend celebrations below!

  5. Wow! That scenery is phenomenal. One place I haven't been able to visit the mountains, and would love to do so soon. As a pop culture fanatic, I've seen all the weddings as well, and love how each one is unique. What was really fun was watching the crew from Say Yes to The Dress from TLC critique the wedding and clothing, and I watched just about anywhere else they were showing it too. Everyone had a neat perspective. I know a lot of people were a little frustrated because there was so much coverage, but I enjoyed it a lot. Hugs...

  6. Happy Monday my Dear Friend. I didn’t get to watch the royal wedding but there was such great coverage I feel like I actually attended the wedding. I was super happy to see Harry and Meghan, they are a lovely couple and who doesn’t love a good love story. I’ve been to Toronto but never Whistler, I’ll to check it out.

  7. Wow, Toronto seems like it was yesterday! And the part of Canada that you can more easily visit (way more than me) is like.. my dream. I think I'll have to live there one day, as long as it's sunny!
I watched some of the wedding - it was very feel good.
